Elegant simplicity, lack of details and clean lines – minimalist architecture is based on a sleek lines and “less is more” mentality. In terms of interior doors, people are interested in doors that are visually “one with a wall” so with no visible door frames, thresholds or hinges.

The principle of the invisible door is that the aluminum door frames are combined with the door inside the wall and with concealed hinges. The doors become a part of the interior walls.

Argent Alu has taken this “invisible” door concept one step further by creating in-wall sliding door systems and invisible baseboards. The built-in aluminum door frame can be combined with concealed hinges. The integrated pivot door system is also suitable for full-height doors.

Our partner Argenta will offer you everything you need for a minimalist and invisible door. Ask for more information.

Concealed hinges are hinges that are hidden when the door is closed. You can’t see any of hinge parts form either the outside or inside of the door which gives the door a minimalist look. Invisible hinges are recessed into the door and the frame during the door manufacturing process. Concealed hinges can be installed on interior and exterior doors with different weights, materials and sizes.

The door with concealed hinges does not have outstanding details, which helps to highlight the overall appearance of the door and its surroundings. There is a wide range of different surface finishes so the hinges can be combined with the other door hardware such as door handles or cylinder covers. The concealed hinges also have a 3D adjustment for hassle-free installation, movement and maintenance.

Based on the model and manufacturer, the invisible hinges have different load-bearing capacities of 40 up to 350 kilograms per pair. For example, two Cemom Estetic 200 series concealed hinges can carry doors up to 225 kg. The Cemom Estetic 100 series double hinges have a load capacity of up to 100 kg for a 900 mm door and the hinges also are fire proof.

A master key system is a locking system whereby selected keys can open a number of pre-defined doors. Master keying makes moving around in buildings easier, for example one key can unlock all the locks in your home (staircase, apartment, basement and mailbox door). However, each key can only open these doors that are assigned to it in the key locking system. Lock systems are suitable for private houses as well as apartment buildings, office buildings and other places with many doors.

KEYED TO DIFFER

Locks or cylinders, each of which is combined differently from the others. Each different key operates only one lock or cylinder. They may be a part of a master key system if the system is designed so. But they can not be added into a master keys system later on without rekeying.
When they are not designed to be part of a master key system, the codes are so called random codes and they are not allowed to be master keyed.

KEYED ALIKE

Two or more locks or cylinders which have the same key combination. Number of locks can be operated by the same key. They may be a part of a master key system if the system is designed so. But they can not be added into a master keys system later on without rekeying.
When they are not designed to be part of a master key system, the codes are so called random codes and they are not allowed to be master keyed.

CENTRAL LOCKING

Central key system, also called maison or common key system. A keying system in which one or more cylinders are opened by every key or by large number of different keys in the system. For example a lock or cylinder of a gate or main entrance door.
The openings for central locks should be created group by group. No individual key of its own for the central lock.

MASTER KEYING

The simplest master key system has two levels of keying and is considered the basic level of master keying. The less powerful keys at the bottom are called individual keys. Each individual key operates only one lock, or one group of keyed alike locks. The more powerful key at the top is called the master key.

GRAND MASTER KEYING

3-level system is two or more 2-level systems tied together under a higher level key called a grand master key.
